Nicholas Carnrite
Managing Director
Nick Carnrite is a Managing Director with Alvarez and Marsal’s Energy practice. During a transition period, Nick will also continue to serve as Managing Director of Carnrite Group, where he will continue to lead the firm’s Europe & Middle East business. Previously, Nick led Carnrite Group’s global business development team based in Houston. From 2011 to 2018, Nick was a consultant and project manager on complex projects in oil and gas, private equity, manufacturing, and other industrial sectors. His experience includes corporate strategy, turnarounds and transformations, process redesign, merger and acquisition integration, cost reduction, organization design, and the design and implementation of sustainability and energy transition strategies.
Since joining The Carnrite Group, Nick has built and maintained relationships with decision-makers across industry and finance throughout North America, Europe, and, increasingly, the Middle East. Nick led a strategy effort that resulted in Carnrite Group’s international expansion, continued movement into new sectors, and the creation of Energy Transition and Digital Transformation practices. Additionally, Nick played an integral role in the turnaround and sale of Swan Corporation, a discrete manufacturing company in the United States, which at the time was a marquis client for Carnrite’s quickly growing industrials sector.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. Recently, Nick was elected to the 2021 edition of Oil & Gas Investor’s Forty Under 40 in Energy. He sits on the Board of Directors of The Cannon, a Houston-based entrepreneurial community.
