Gillian Tilbury
Managing Director
Gillian is a Senior Director with Alvarez and Marsal’s Energy practice. Previously, Gillian was one of the founding partners of Carnrite Group, where she continues to be a Managing Director during a transition period as Carnrite Group is integrated into Alvarez and Marsal. During her time with Carnrite Group, Gillian was a Managing Partner, Human Capital Practice, Project Manager, and Account Manager. Throughout her 25 years of consulting experience, Gillian has worked extensively across upstream oil and gas, including domestic and international assignments with fully integrated majors and independent E&P companies.
Gillian has served as the account manager or project lead on engagements addressing complex issues associated with operational effectiveness and assurance, process safety management, organizational design, portfolio analysis, strategy development, process optimization, and mergers and acquisitions. These engagements leveraged her core strengths in change management and ability to help teams develop solutions that are implementable within each client’s unique culture.
Prior to her time with The Carnrite Group, Gillian held various positions with Sterling Consulting Group and SDG Consulting. She began her career with Conoco, where she held various positions in upstream, midstream, and corporate planning. Gillian received a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from the University of Texas – Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. Additionally, she is a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and is Prosci certified in change management.
