Carnrite is seeking to hire a full-time Analyst to support its global Energy Transition practice. The candidate will be based in Houston, where he/she will work closely with members of the Carnrite team and our clients to design and implement business solutions that address the clients’ challenges.

What You’ll Do:

The Analyst will leverage a variety of analytical tools and frameworks to prepare insights and perspectives that deliver results for our clients. This individual will help shape new energy strategies through market assessments and economic analysis and drive sustainability strategies through GHG data management and decarbonization roadmaps.

The Analyst will also be responsible for developing market perspectives to support Carnrite’s business development activities and the growth of the Energy Transition practice.

Through this position, the Analyst will have the opportunity to develop new consulting skills while leveraging existing capabilities, build content knowledge in a dynamic, fast-evolving Energy Transition landscape, and gain exposure across Carnrite’s service offerings.

The Optimal Candidate Will:

  • Demonstrate analytical competencies and experience managing large datasets
  • Have a proven track record of building financial models, spreadsheets, and immersive/ interactive dashboards
  • Effectively liaise and collaborate with clients to meet project deadlines
  • Exemplify resourcefulness in data and information gathering
  • Demonstrate the ability to concisely summarize key insights and findings
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive-level management
  • Demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit needed to excel in a growing business
  • Proactively seek exposure to Carnrite’s various service offerings
  • Show intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to learn new topics, industries, and solutions
  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts
  • Travel up to 50% to client sites contingent on project requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
  • 2-5 years of experience ideally in the oil and gas or energy industry; background in consulting, strategy, finance, accounting, and/or audit is preferred
  • Knowledge of GHG accounting principles and/or sustainability experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to tie business decisions and performance improvements to financial results
  • Provide a sample of capabilities using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and similar data analytics platforms
  • Must be eligible to work for an employer in the US
